The Transition timing will vary depending upon how your company has utilized the UM features. Microsoft Office 365 Customers will be transitioned to Cloud Voicemail by Microsoft. Your actual voicemail data will still be stored in your Exchange mailbox. This means that the processing of voicemails and Auto Attendants that used to happen in Exchange Online, will now happen in Cloud Voicemail which is a part of Skype Online & Teams. This impacts voicemail processing and Auto Attendant in Exchange Online for all Microsoft customers using these workloads. Microsoft is retiring Unified Messaging (UM) in Exchange Online and replacing it with Cloud Voicemail and Auto Attendant Services. To make sure your calls get to voicemail, change Do Nothing to Voicemail, and you can even choose how long you want calls to ring for before being sent there.Your Skype for Business 2019 Server Upgrade is Ready and your Cloud Voicemail Upgrade awaits! This is the default setting and will prevent any callers from landing at your voice mailbox. You can see in the screenshot below that under the Call Answering Rules heading, I have Team set to “Do Nothing” after 20 seconds of ringing. Note: If you do not want to record your own greeting, try the text-to-speech option. To repeat the menu, press 0 and to exit the voicemail dialogue press the * key.
